Four works born outside the series, each a turning point in the artist's journey (1990–2015). Il Simposio and Fiamme mark the 2008 public debut of the Luminous Sculptures — with Fiamme, the world premiere of integrated backlighting on metal; the diptych Pablo & Paloma carries the engraved onyx beyond its frame, casting a halo of light on the wall; Jesus Christus, a first-period work without backlighting, documents the artist's research into stone engraving fifteen years before the cycle.
